The Mystical Oasis is an Unincorporated Nonprofit Association manifest in 2004 by a small group of Texas residents seeking to achieve goals and a lifestyle that many have called a dream throughout the ages. In 2004 it was a dream or maybe better labeled a vision to many of us to live in a cooperative world, free from the competitive and often destructive “control over” dominator mentality so long ago accepted by much of humanity as the only practical way forward. We know that this dominator mentality has not always been the MO for humanity over the aeons, as it also will not always be the case in the future.
We held events those early years at Emma Long Metro Park in Austin Texas, as well as at Ruta Maya Coffee House off of South Congress Ave. in Austin as well. Generally we are not about building and meeting halls, as the forest and natural spaces are our favorite workspaces and chapels.
In 2009 this state of mind was brought to Wimberley, Texas to establish a location for our wild dreams of living cooperatively with creation. This led to the establishment of a Gift shop and Herb Emporium (since closed), and the hosting of many wonderful events over the years.
In recent times we have been quite off the radar for several reasons, most recently Covid-19, which led to disruptions unforeseen, not the least of which was the contracting of and suffering greatly with Long Haul Covid by your truly, finally recovering from this debilitating period of 3 1/2 years in June of 2023. It is good to be back in good health and ready to lead our organization into its next chapter. This will be the establishing a Mystical Oasis Retreat and Refuge Center in the Sangre De Cristo Mtns. East of Taos, New Mexico, as early as Fall 2024.
Until then, we look foreword to hosting an array of events and workshops in Wimberley, Texas. Stay tuned to our events calendar, as new items are now being added weekly for April and May.
